Someone taps I want this! on your product page and lands on checkout. Knowing what they see there helps you answer "how do I pay?" before it hits your DMs.
Walk through the checkout form
The checkout shows your name, the product and the total on one side, and a short form on the other.
Under Your details, the buyer enters an Email and a Mobile number. Both are required. The email matters most: it's how they get back to the purchase later.
Under Billing Address, Country is India and the buyer picks their State. The state decides how GST is split, so it's only asked on paid products.
Under Payment, they choose UPI or Card. UPI shows the PhonePe, GPay and Paytm logos. Card takes credit and debit cards and shows the Visa, Mastercard and Amex logos. There's no net banking or wallet option.
They tap Pay and finish in the Cashfree payment window that opens over the page.
Checkout works for buyers in India today.
Check the total before they pay
The summary lists the price, then Total due. If your payout account has a GSTIN, the GST line appears above the total: CGST and SGST when the buyer is in your state, IGST when they're not.
For example, a buyer in Pune picking up your ₹499 recipe ebook sees Maharashtra in the State list, pays by UPI, and a few seconds later has the ebook on screen, ready to download.
Give it away free
When the price is Free, checkout asks only for email and mobile number. There's no billing address and no payment step, and the button reads Get for free.
Know what happens after payment
The button spins while Zorcha confirms the payment, for up to two minutes. Then the buyer lands on your product page with a Thank you heading, every file listed, and a Download all button (or Download for a single file).
The address of that page ends in `?access=` and a private code, like `zorcha.link/yourname/products/barista-starters?access=...`. It opens the files again without signing in, so buyers should bookmark it and not share it.
If a payment fails or is abandoned
The buyer stays on the same checkout page and can tap Pay again.
Payment failed: they see Your payment didn't go through. No money was taken. Please try again., or the reason from the payment window.
Closed the payment window: the form stays filled in, with no error. They tap Pay again.
Changed their details while a payment was open: they may see A payment for this order is still in progress. Give it a moment, then try again.
A checkout link lasts 30 minutes, and each tap on Pay restarts the 30 minutes. After that they see This checkout link has expired with a Go back button to the product. Tapping I want this! again starts a fresh checkout.
Every tap on I want this! makes a new checkout link, so share your product link, never a checkout link.
Unpaid attempts stay pending. They don't count as sales, don't unlock the files, and don't show in the buyer's purchases.
Messages buyers might mention
This email already has this product. Sign in to open it from your purchases.: they're taken to sign in, where the purchase is waiting.
We couldn't confirm the payment yet: this shows after two minutes without a confirmation. If money left their account, they sign in at zorcha.link/account with the same email to find the purchase.
The sign-in and purchases page is covered in the next guide in this collection, What buyers get after paying. Selling paid products? Make sure you can receive the money: Set up and verify your payout account.
