Applications are coming in. You want to see who answered, read one person's answers in full, and pull everything into a spreadsheet to build your shortlist.
Find your form's submissions
Go to Forms. Each form shows its Submissions count and its status, Live or Draft. Click the Submissions column heading to sort by count.
Click a form to open it, then click the Submissions tab.
Read the list
Each row is one submission, newest first. Click Submitted to switch between newest and oldest first.
Title is the person's answer to your Email field. If there's no email answer, it uses the Phone field, then a Text field whose title includes "name", then the form's first question. With none of those, it shows Anonymous Submission.
Submitted is the date and time, in your device's time zone.
A green form icon means the person confirmed their email address with a code. Other submissions have a blue icon. See Verify email addresses with a one-time code.
The tab shows 50 submissions a page. With more, use the arrows at the bottom, next to the page count (for example Page 1 of 3 · 118 total).
Submissions can't be deleted yet, so test answers stay in the list and in the count.
Open one submission
Click a row to open Submission Details:
The person's name and initials at the top, from a field whose slug is
name,full_nameorfirst_name. Without one, the heading reads Anonymous Submission even when the row shows an email.Email Verification Status: Verified once the person entered their code. Every other submission shows UNVERIFIED, including on forms that don't ask for a code.
Form Responses: one card per answer, labelled with the field's slug in capitals, so
whatsapp_numberappears as WHATSAPP NUMBER.Submitted At: the date and time.
An uploaded photo or document appears as a web address. Copy it into your browser to open the file.
Export to a spreadsheet
On the Submissions tab, click Export List.
You'll see Generating CSV... and then Form Submissions Downloaded Successfully. The file is named after your form in lower case, with underscores for spaces and punctuation, for example
latte_art_workshop__october_batch.csv.Open it in Google Sheets, Excel or Numbers.
If the form has no submissions yet, you'll see No leads found for this form instead.
What's in the file:
every submission to the form, not only the page you were viewing
one column per field, headed with its Form field slug and sorted A to Z rather than in form order
a last column, Submitted At, in UTC, so it can differ from the time on the Submissions tab
Checkbox answers listed together in one cell, like
["Sat","Sun"]; when someone ticks Other, their choices go in a<slug>.valuescolumn and their own text in<slug>.otheruploads as the file's web address
no Title or verification status: check those on the Submissions tab
If you changed a field's slug after people answered, older answers stay under the old name, so the file has a column for each.
Anyone with a file's web address can open that file, so share the export only with people who should see the uploads.
