If the post or reel you want isn't in the list when you set up a comment automation, you can paste its Instagram link instead. Zorcha checks the link against your connected Instagram account and adds that post or reel to your automation.
Before you start
Use link works in Instagram workspaces, for automations that start from comments on a post or reel. It isn't available for Stories or in Facebook Page workspaces.
The post or reel must be on the Instagram account connected to this workspace. You can't add a post from another account, or a post that was deleted or archived.
Open the post or reel in Instagram and copy its link. It looks like
https://www.instagram.com/reel/...orhttps://www.instagram.com/p/....
Step 1: Open the post list
For a new automation, click Automations in the left menu, then New Automation. Choose DM from Comments, give it a name, and click Create Automation. To set up a new automation step by step, see Setting up Comment to DM.
For an automation you already have, click Automations in the left menu and open the automation.
In Flow Builder, click the Comments on Post or Reel trigger.
Under Select a Post or Reel, click Show More.
Step 2: Click Use link
At the bottom of Select Post or Reel, next to Can't find your reel here?, click Use link.
Step 3: Paste the link and click Check link
Paste the link into Instagram link, then click Check link.
When Zorcha finds the post, you see its picture, username and caption. Click View on Instagram if you want to make sure it's the right one.
Step 4: Use it in your automation
Click Use this reel, or Use this post for a photo or carousel post. The post is now selected in your automation.
Finish the rest of the setup, then click Go Live for a new automation, or Update for one that's already live. On a phone, the button is Update & Go Live.
To go back to the list without changing anything, click Back to reels.
If Check link shows a message
We didn't find this post or reel in the connected account's available media. The post may be on another account, deleted or archived, or the link may have a typo. Check that this workspace is connected to the account that posted it.
The Instagram connection has expired. Click Reconnect workspace, connect your Instagram account again, then check the link again.
Instagram reports that comments are disabled for this media. Turn comments on for the post in Instagram, then check again.
This media type does not support comment automation. Choose a different post or reel.
Too many checks. Wait a minute, then try again. You can check up to 10 links a minute.
We couldn't finish checking the account's media within the lookup limit. Try again. If it happens again, contact support.
Enter an Instagram post or reel link. Copy the link again from Instagram. It must have
/p/,/reel/or/reels/in it.
Still stuck? Click Contact support in the same window. Zorcha keeps your link and the result while you chat with us.
