How to Limit Public Replies in Comments to DM Automations?

Public replies help acknowledge comments on your posts and reels, but replying to every comment can make your comment section look repetitive and may increase the risk of being flagged for spam.

The Limit Public Replies setting lets you control how many public replies Zorcha posts for a Comment-to-DM automation.

How to Set a Public Reply Limit

  1. Open Automations from the left-hand sidebar.

  2. Create a New Automation or open an existing Comment to DM automation.

  3. Select the reel or post you want to automate.

  4. Configure your trigger keywords.

  5. Set up your DM message.

  6. Scroll down to the Advanced Automations section.

  7. Enable public replies to comments if it is disabled.

  8. Under Limit public replies, choose the maximum number of public replies Zorcha should post.

Available limits are:

Once the selected limit is reached, Zorcha will stop posting public replies, but your DM automation will continue working normally.

Why Should I Limit Public Replies?

If your post or reel receives hundreds or thousands of comments, replying publicly to every comment can make your comment section look repetitive.

The Limit Public Replies setting lets you control how many public replies Zorcha posts for an automation. Once the selected limit is reached, Zorcha stops posting public replies, while your DM automation continues to work normally.

Setting a public reply limit helps you:

  • Keep your comment section looking natural.

  • Avoid posting the same reply hundreds of times.

  • Create a better experience for your audience, especially on high-engagement posts.

  • Follow Instagram best practices for automated interactions.

This feature is especially useful for creators and businesses whose posts regularly receive a large number of comments.

Note: Limit Public Replies only controls the number of public replies posted by an automation. It does not affect the DMs sent to users who trigger the automation.

Can I Customize Public Replies?

Yes.

Zorcha provides predefined public reply templates that you can use as they are or edit to match your tone and style.

You can also add multiple reply variations. Zorcha will randomly select one of the variations to avoid sending the same reply repeatedly.
