Personalize automation messages with contact variables

How to personalize automation messages and public replies with contact variables.

Personalize automation messages with contact variables

Make your automation replies feel more personal by adding contact variables inside message and public reply text boxes.

Variables are placeholders that Zorcha replaces with contact details when the automation runs. For example:

Hey {{instagram_username}}, how are you?

can be sent as:

Hey zorcha.ai, how are you?

Where you can use variables

You can use personalization in supported automation text boxes, including user messages and public replies.

This helps when you want to:

  • Greet a user by their Instagram username

  • Make public replies feel less generic

  • Reuse one automation while still making each reply feel personal

Add a variable to a message

  1. Open the automation you want to edit.

  2. Click inside the message or public reply text box.

  3. Click the {} variable button.

  4. Select the contact variable you want to insert.

  5. Write the rest of your message around it.

  6. Save or publish the automation.

Example

Write:

Hey {{instagram_username}}, here is the guide you asked for.

If the person's Instagram username is zorcha.ai, Zorcha sends:

Hey zorcha.ai, here is the guide you asked for.

Best practices

  • Use variables that are usually available for the channel.

  • Keep the sentence natural after the variable is replaced.

  • Test the automation once before sending traffic to it.

  • Use one personal detail per message unless you really need more.
