Fix "Your Instagram Account is Ineligible for Using Instagram APIs"

This guide explains why it happens and what steps you can take.

Updated over 2 months ago

What’s going on?

Instagram has tightened API access rules. If your account has been flagged for violating community guidelines — even once — Instagram may block it from using Meta's APIs.

Note

Changing account types or linking a Facebook Page will not fix this. The restriction is enforced at the account level by Instagram.

What you can try

  1. Appeal the violation
If you believe the flag was incorrect, submit an appeal from the Account Status page.

  2. Review and avoid violations
Identify what caused the restriction (e.g. sensitive content, misleading captions, spammy behavior) and avoid repeating it.

  3. Contact Instagram Support
Use Settings → Help → Report a Problem or the Instagram Help Center.

Why Zorcha can’t fix this

Instagram enforces API eligibility directly. Third-party tools like Zorcha must comply and cannot override these restrictions.
